The bells of Christmas let them ring
At Jesus’ birth, our Lord, our King,
The stars of Heaven let their light
Fill all the world this X’mas night.
Lo! from the East the Three Wise Men
Today will pass this way again,
With myrrh and frankincense and gold
As on that Christmas day of old.
The songs of Christmas let us sing
To Him who gave us everything,
With timbrel, mistletoe and drum
May Christmas laden every home.
Like stars let lanterns light the street
For lonely hearts and weary feet,
In every home a Christmas tree
For joy in Christ’s Nativity.
The gladsome tidings blazon forth
To all the corners of the earth,
The Christ is born! Be of good cheer
This Christmas day and glad New Year.
